Northeastern had a really good run in 2007, and then BU has been a respectable program that plays a national schedule (sometimes) and can keep it close with some good programs.
And before Briarcliffe, PCLL DII wasn't strong.
Big lacrosse fan. Oxy '09 and former assistant with the Tigers.
Its definitely between BC and Suny-Buff... the two split their games last season, BC winning by 1 in buffalo and then Buffalo topping BC in a defensive struggle in the PCLL championship in New Hampshire.
Tough to say which is better at the moment, but both are solid
Although I think we've seen relative consistency amongst many the "powerhouse" programs, the PCLL actually seems to be a division that has solid lower level teams and the potential for upsets. I think if you look at PCLL scores in recent years, that division plays a lot of close games and is highly competitive and there isnt actually that big of a gap between BC/Suny-Buff and teams like BU/Northeaster/UNH.
Long story short, its seems possible for the rest of the division to catch up to BC and Suny-Buffalo, especially with the amount of lacrosse talent that already exists in that area. At this point, it comes to the motivation of players and quality of coaching.
Well both BC's school are the best in the northeast Boston College and Briarcliffe College. Both teams dominate their respective conference and always have their hands in the PCLL Finals over the last 3-4 years. With Boston colleges PCLL Finals record of 4-1 and Briarcliffes 2-1. They also make the national tourney over the last couple of years. They have both have excellent resumes to claim the best MCLA DI and DII in the northeast!! Your right binlaxin21 the lower level teams are catching up to Boston College, just have to wait for the division 2 schools only games that Briarcliffe seemed challenged were US Coast Guard and Stone Hill the rest are just football scores.
