How many teams are in playoffs this year with league growing to 9 teams? Looking at North Divisions schedules, only Maine has game scheduled against rest of teams in its division. What are qualifications needed to qualify for playoffs?
As I understand the explanation from the league meeting:
6 teams will make the playoffs. 3 from the north, 3 from the south. The top 3 in each division will be in. The top seed will get a bye for each division. From there, I believe that North 2 will play South 3 in the north's home field, and South 2 will play North 3 in the South home field. After that, the remaining teams will go to where they are holding the tournament (one of the Boston schools) and be aligned based on seed.

I think it is still in discussion for the semi-final round to be played at the higher seeds homefield. The #1 seeds never get a home playoff game which really isn't fair and a whole weekend is a little expensive and then the winner (and hopefully an AL) have to then foot the cost for National's.
