  • Chris are you ok? I mean, seriously, only 3 people from WOU?

Great, these forums are never going to be fun when WOU alums start using objective reasoning!!

  • @SharkAttack08 Yeah I thought I might catch grief for that!

In all honestly I think the top 5 teams in the PNCLL (WOU, WWU, UP, GU, and SOU) really could be battling it out this year. Of course, I have to give the edge to WOU and I don't expect anything but a sixth title out of those guys but besides WOU, SOU, and (surprisingly) Whitman no one else has released a roster anywhere so we're all still guessing at this point.

Maybe the Mayan apocalypse was not indicative of the end of the world, only the hell-freezing-over reality of Whitman getting their act together. Maybe they'll actually report actual assist stats this year instead of inflating all of their all-league players' stats (we'll probably need another apocalyptic milestone for that though).

Tyler Preston is your freshman of the year, before the first whistle even. Book it, count it, put it on the board. His impact on WOU's possessions and time of possession will likely be immeasurable if WOU uses him in the way I hope they do (often and more often).

  • @chriscurtis Whitman updates their website only on odd years. 7 wins and we're the AQ!
  • @C2&Bcat Ripple isn't giving up his 1st team FOS so easily, and swapping out Chris Timm for Ian seems like gerrymandering...

  • @mudd I don't expect Ripple to just give up anything. I expect him to have it ripped away like a man would take candy from a baby when Tyler Preston destroys him at the x.

As far a switching out Ian, I'll agree I'm flubbing my post but only because I didn't have UP's roster until after my post. But having that information now I just don't see Chris Timm having a better year than the three players I listed out of the midfield.

In fairness, I simply said Preston was your Freshman of the year, I didn't actually prognosticate on who would be 1st team all-league :)

I am fighting the urge to gush unstoppably about what UP will be capable of on offense this season. And that's even ignoring the talent they have returning every where else on the roster.

You know what's really scary/exciting about PNCLL D2 this season? Of the top 13 scorers by PPG in 2012, only ONE is not playing this season (Sam Kollar). Everyone else is back.

Want me to blow your mind one step further? Of EVERY goalie in D2, not ONE graduated!

This season has the potential to be big step up in on-the-field product for PNCLL D2, pretty darn cool.

Actually, that doesn't blow my mind. Guys from the PNCLL struggling to graduate....sounds about right to me! Amirite?

    See what I did there?
